Community Center Concepts

These drawing are meant to build a strong case for the creation of a creative space, through dialog and collaboration.

“I could never convince the financiers that Disneyland was feasible because dreams offer too little collateral.”

- Walt Disney

Sketch two: Books cascade around the edge of the room underneath the windows creating a space were kids can read on stools while looking out the window (intent: to build imagination and encourage books are like a window to the larger world). You have to create spaces that encourage reading and creating.

First sketch for Community Center Creative Imagination room. Library, Gardening ECO boxes, stage for teaching and display. Stage could be used to practice mini dramas and plays, hosting visiting animals from the zoo and used for teaching classes. Ledge on stage could be used to display art work during a class or hold up props for a play.

The back of the stage does not extend to the top of the ceiling for several reasons.
